Make Mum Cry Happy Tears—Not Because You Burnt the Toast

They say the way to a woman’s heart is through flowers… but let’s be honest, a hot breakfast she didn’t have to cook goes way further. This Mother’s Day, skip the burnt toast and half-hearted coffee — we’ve got a recipe that’ll make her feel like a queen (and maybe even forgive your snoring). Fire up the pan, throw on a tee, and let’s win some serious brownie points the Old Man Strength way with this French Toast winner!!

Biscoff Banana French Toast Stacks

Ingredients (serves 2–3):

  • 4 slices thick bread (brioche or sourdough works best)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 bananas (sliced)
  • 2–3 tbsp Biscoff spread
  • Butter (for the pan)
  • Optional: icing sugar, cinnamon, berries, or maple syrup

Instructions:

  • Whisk the mix: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  • Soak the bread: Dip each slice of bread in the mixture until well coated.
  • Fry it up: Melt some butter in a pan and cook the bread slices until golden on each side.
  • Add the good stuff: Spread Biscoff on each slice while warm.
  • Stack it: Layer banana slices between toast slices, stack 'em high, and add a final layer of banana and a drizzle of maple syrup.
  • Serve it up: Bonus points if you serve it in bed with a coffee.

The Result:

You look like a legend. Mum gets a proper breakfast. The kids think you’re a chef. Everyone wins.
